Crack in line at spa drain to filter

I have a cracked line from the spa drain to the filter somewhere in this area. This is an inground pool with a spa. I know it is in this line because when the line is open, it is sucking sand into the filter. When I close the line off, it quits. I see there is a Spa Fix-A-Leak available at Amazon and wondering how well this would work.
I can see how it would work on a return line but cannot see how it can repair a supply line. Any input is appreciated on this and any other ideas you may have.

Hi, welcome to TFP! Could you post a picture of the problem? That may help us generate some ideas for you.

There is not a way to post the picture of it as it is underground. The only way I know it is cracked is by the filter sucking up sand and mud. I have the line shut off right now and the filter is not sucking up sand now.
