Bleach & Borax?

Baking soda I can find everywhere. Just paid $8 for 12lbs @ Wal-Mart.

Cannot find 6% bleach. Only "concentrated" 8.25 strength. Can I use that?

No one seems to have borax. Maybe the mule train doesn't get to SC?

Any ideas?

8.25% is fine as long as it is unscented plain bleach.

Yes, you absolutely can use 8.25% bleach. In fact, you could use higher concentration bleach if you can find it. Use the PoolMath tool to help you with the dosing amounts. As for Borax, availability seems to vary by store and general location. You may not even need Borax. Therefore, I would first determine if you have a need for Borax before going out of your way to search for it. If you do have a need for it, you may want to try Amazon if you cannot find it locally.

Yep answered my own question in pool school (duh!)

Wife thinks she found borax at Target.....

Borax you will find in the laundry section of most grocery stores.

Hold up here ... why are you buying baking soda and borax? Most pool owners never need either of them. Have you already tested and determined that you need them?

The TFPC method is really just about understanding your pool’s chemistry and through accurate testing, adding only what the pool NEEDS.
