We are in search of a new solar cover for our pool to help more for heat retention then anything else.
I've read that color and thickness does not play a huge roll as they all seem to go bad after a certain amount of time.
We had a clear cover (12 or 16 mil) for the past 3 years and that seems to work ok, but never had a reel. I also read that a heavier blanket can cause some issues with the reel.
We have a grecian style pool that is 17 by 34 1/2 feet.
So with all of that said...
1. recommendations on a blanket that isn't horribly expensive
2. recommendations for a reel that would work for our style pool and isn't above $300
3. Do you recommend getting a cover for the blanket while it is on the reel?
4. If so, any recommendations a cover.
