air in one return sometimes

Good morning, every once in awhile I notice air in my return closest to the pump. This only happens when the skimmer basket is full of leaves or when I vaccuum. I am not losing water and do not get air during "normal" operation.

Any ideas?

Those two scenarios somehow allow for air to be sucked in on the suction side. The cure is....

!. Keep the skimmer basket cleaner

2. Reduce your flow to the vacuum head and it will likely stop sucking air.

Thanks Duraleigh, the gits I am getting from your email is that this is fairly normal? This has only happened a couple of times in the process of cleaning up the swamp

Yeah, perfectly normal when you are sucking in a lot of debris and somewhat common when you are vacuuming.

Keeping the vacuum process "air free" will require a little trial and error on your flow but the difference should be readily apparent.
