Landscaping around pool - finally

We left off last year late in the season with no budget to landscape. Finally we managed to have a little more money than bills at the end of the month. Instead of saving it, we blew it on plants.

Here are some before pics from last August after the pool was finished.

Would be nicer if the neighbor didn't park his behemoth there but after a year it should disappear. It looks like a few of them are leaning it's because it was windy Sunday after the storm blew through.

We ran out of plants for the one side. We are waiting for the nursery to get in Traveler Palms and then we will buy another 8 more plants. We haven't decided on the final location of the Traveler Palm yet. Should be a 30 gallon pot and we are paying them to plant it since I don't think we'll even be able to move it to the backyard. The plants we got are 3-gallon and we saved about 100 dollars planting those ourselves.

Thanks. We're budgeting for a pool heater after landscaping. That probably won't be until after summer is over though. I need to do something with the pool equipment. The sun has already faded the color out of the pool pump.

Today's pictures. We lost a white bird of paradise on the the south corner so we put in a banana plant. No fruit yet though.

Almost can swim nekid... lol
