2.5 Gallon Chlorine Carboy - spout?

Anyone have any good idea for pouring fro 2.5 gal carboys without spills.

It seems someone would have invented a spout that would screw on these containers
and allow for pouring out into a measured bucket without leaks and splats.

If it has a standard 38mm cap you can find faucets here. If it's a non-standard size you can get a bulkhead faucet and install it in the cap yourself.

I have 5 gallon carboys and I've been using a cheap $2-$3 hand siphon I got from the hardware store.

I know this thread is old but does anyone have any other ideas? I am tired of pouring chlorine on my foot when filling the Liquidator.

You could buy a syphon/transfer pump like shown Here. Since it's all plastic it should hold up to bleach. I'd probably rinse it out after each use.

Just out of curiosity, where do you store the carboy and how fast do you go through it? Bleach is heat and light sensitive, right? I would love to find a better solution for my routine. Currently I just keep a gallon in a bench box with a plastic cup I use for measuring.

I use an old Clorox bleach jug. Cut the bottom off and you have a big funnel with a handle.
