Adding Chlorine, Muriatic Acid and Baking Soda

Using the pool calculator, I'm getting the measurements for what I need. Is there a technique to adding liquid Chlorine, Muriatic Acid and Baking Soda? Can you add them one after the other OR should I wait a certain period of time before I add other chemicals?

FC is at 3 want to get it to 5
PH is at 8 trying to get it to 7.4
TA is at 70 trying to get it to 80

Bring your pH down with the MA. Retest it in a half hour. If it's still high, dose again and retest and then if it's where you want it, go ahead and add the chlorine. If your pH is creeping, I'd leave your TA alone.

Acid first, wait 20 min.
Bleach next, wait 20 min.
Baking soda can be done last, no rush on TA.

Pour liquids slowly in frontt of a return jet with the pump running. Predissolve solids in a bucket before pouring in the pool.

I too would leave the TA alone for now.

Once you put the MA in, you may want to brush right away to prevent any type of staining on the plaster.

I personally just broadcast baking soda out in the front of the upturned return.
