Welcome to TFP!

If you added salt in the last 24 hours, turn the SWG down to 0% and run the pump until it has been 24 hours since the salt was added. Sometimes salt doesn't fully mix in right away. It is possible that the SWG got a dose of high concentration salt and just needs some more circulation to normalize.

Another possibility, if salt was more than 24 hours ago, is something inside the SWG cell shorting out the plates. Take the cell out at do a quick visual examination and see if any of the plates are touching each other or there is some debris bridging across them.

 Welcome to TFP!!!

One sign of a failing cell is when it starts to read lower salt level than reality.
Have you independently tested the salt level?

Did you turn off the SWG for a day after adding the salt so high salinity water did not pass through the cell?(I think this could damage the controller)
