Green pool posting numbers

Opened to green pool.have swg 25,000 gallons vinyl .

FC 0
PH 7.8
TA 50
CYA 10?
Salt 2700

Can't get pool calculator to work??
What should I add first ? Please assist with order?
If I add stabilizer can I back wash? How much
to add. How much concentrated bleach to add. Thanks

PoolMath(link above) should work for you.

In order of importance:

FC -- get some bleach in there asap PoolMath tells me 225oz of 8.25% this should get you to 6 FC

pH -- 20 oz 31.45% MA This should get you pH 7.5

CYA -- 83 oz of dry Place half of this in an old sock and hang it by the running return. do not add the rest yet! The full dose would get you to 35, but do it in stages


Let these additions settle for a day with the pump running.

Ok, one question, how did you get the 10 for your CYA reading the view tube that comes with the TF-100 only goes down to 20?

At 20 I could still see a faint image fill up top of tube. Never really got it up past 20-40 last season

No your PH is fine now.

With an SWG, pH will climb on it's own. Just monitor it and bring it down when it reaches 7.6-7.8

Just make sure to turn the SWG off while your SLAMing. No need to run it for the SLAM process.

So I'm getting it clear. Had issue with floating sides with rain. Been repaired and refilled after lowering half way. New numbers. Please advise how to fix PH and TA

SWIG not on yet. Almost clear still need vacuum rest of algae out. Thanks

FC must be below 10 in order for your pH test to be valid. I would let FC drop to 9 or so, and retest pH. Bring pH to 7.2, raise TA, to 70, then continue with the SLAM.

Thank you for the information. I'll wait for the FC to fall then make my adjustments. I'll also will raise my CYA to keep my numbers in line for the SWIG.
