    Waste or Back Wash

When opening up the pool for the season I assume I set the valve to Waste flush the antifreeze then I set it to Back Wash? I must have screwed something up last season because a bunch of sand came out through the Waste line. Thanks

I don't think it actually matters if you send antifreeze out of the waste or mixed into the pool. I think waste would be the better option though.
