Is there a shelf life for muriatic acid similar to that of bleach?

Store your bleach in a cold dark place to make it last as long as possible. Store your muriatic acid some place with ventilation, because it out gasses and the fumes will rust metals. Don't store them together, because if they leak and mix, you'll get a chlorine cloud.
