Just a couple quick questions, this is a little older with only a backwash valve not a multi-port with rinse. Today I tried to pull up the valve to back wash and it's tuff as a rock. Any ideas?

Could be the o-rings have gotten gummed up or debris is stuck in there.
I assume you turned the handle before pulling right? If so, might be time to take it apart for inspection and lubing. {But don't ask me how
