New build with excavation issues

Hello all-
Just started a new pool build 20x40 inground vinyl liner pool. I am doing the install myself. During excavation we hit some rock and had to over dig the deep end of the pool. The walls are not within the 1-2 inches desired for the finishing of the pool with sand/mortar. How do I "build up" the walls again to get back to where it should be to move on to the next step? Any help is appreciated!!

Welcome to the forum. :lol: I do not understand the 1-2" for finishing with sand mortar.....can you elaborate?

Most all vinyl pools are overdug by a couple of feet.

The deep end of the pool- below where the pool walls are. We hit rock so we were not able to maintain the shape of the deep end. How can I build it back up to dig spec so I can then prep for the liner install? Basically the slanted walls in the deep end are 6-12 inches out of dig spec due to the rocks.

you can use a dry concrete blend or limestone chips that are wetted down
