Question New Pool Owner Needs Help deciding between automatic and robotic pool cleaner

Hi. Our pool is in the construction phase and we have never had one before. We are trying to decide between a robotic pool cleaner and an automatic one. I'd like to hear some input from experienced pool owners as to their experience with either or both.

Your range of choices will depend on what type of pool you have (size and shape), what type of matter it has to remove (dust, dirt, leaves, branches, acorns etc.) and how much you have to run your pump to keep the pool chemically in control.

If you can provide some details they you may receive better advice. Also have a look at the Pool School entry on cleaners, which may give you some things to consider.
20k gal, IG gunnite plaster + spa, 2 HP Whisperflo pump, Pentair 520 sq ft catridge filter
Pentair Min Max NT heater. Intelli-touch i5 controller, Ultrapure ozone (currently disabled), Rainbow 320 chlorinator
Small water feature, Water slide. Poolvergnuegen 2WD suction cleaner.
