Cool Installing above ground pool, Yay!

Hello All! We are installing an above ground pool in a few weeks. Ordering a Cornelius Monterrey 16x32 Oval. Right now we are getting the yard ready, installing fencing and running electrical line to where the pump will be. Will post pics as the transformation begins....we plan on wood decking and hot tub, hoping our "vision" works out

Are you keeping the big tree? Make sure you get a good leaf rake if you do.

That bit beside the old fencing material -- Is that where an old tree stump was?

Yes, we had the stump ground down over a foot. We left the mound there since the pool installer is going to dig down 6 or 7".

See if he will dig that area deeper and fill with quarry waste, watered and packed. Otherwise you may have a sinkhole in your pool.

No deep end. We have a huge oak tree in the middle of our yard and I did not want to risk hurting the root system by digging.

The installers appear to be doing good job. My husband ended up filling the hole where stump was ground down to make sure it was filled and packed down properly.
