    Re: Cartridge Filter

I recommend getting an oversized filter. Larger filters let you go longer between filter cleanings. Perhaps a 350 sq ft.

What is the minimum size? I just want to make sure not to go too small.

    Re: Cartridge Filter

I would not go smaller than 200 sqft for your size pool ... I think 350 might be a bit larger than you need, but it does not hurt anything. Although, you have a pretty large pump and likely high flow rates, so bigger might be better.

    Re: Cartridge Filter

I've read it several times here from other experts: For cart filters, get the largest you can afford. No one who has followed that has ever posted "I should have gotten a smaller filter".

    Re: Cartridge Filter

This is what I have for my pool, which is about the same size as yours. It is a 325 sq ft filter. I felt that it was a good price point. Jumping up to the next size is a lot more expensive. I could have gone smaller, but like Charlie said, "get the largest you can afford." Pentair makes similar filters. I don't think the brand matters, but there have been negative reviews of the Sta-Rite System 3.
