cloudy water - need some help

I have a 11.5K in ground pool with DE filter. Been using the BBB method. I've had very clear water but recently had some algae show up due to low chlorine.

my numbers were

FC 1
CC .5
Ph 7.8
TA 130
CH 375
CYA 50

put in 10 oz of MA and then put in 360 oz of 8.25 bleach to get to shock level

tested tonight and have

FC 20
CC .5
PH 7.5
TA 130
CH 375
CYA 50

water is now cloudy. I suppose it could be dead algae. should I just keep running the pump/filter overnight and then test in the morning?

Yes. You should continue to run the pump and maintain SLAM level chlorine until you pass the 3 criteria to stop.

Just keep pounding it, and things will clear up.

Brush, filter, bleach, time. It'll clear. If you have a sand filter, it could take a while to get sparkling again. There's a how-to article in Pool School that tells how to add DE to a sand filter.

borates should be the last thing on dcar00's mind ... completely optional and unnecessary if chlorine is maintained.
