Having trouble defeating this black algae that has taken root all the way around the top edge of the pool. (Vinyl liner) Currently trying to SLAM now...but not sure it's gunna do the trick. Of course I'm brushing 4 or 5 times a day as well. Any tricks for black algae on vinyl ?

If it's only on the top, it's probably not black algae. Can you post a picture?
Black at the tile line is usually due to body oils, lotion, hair products etc. Try a little degreaser tile cleaner for vinyl.

Black algae on a vinyl is a pretty rare animal. Is it on the vinyl or just in the coping area?
