New PE153 and spa side controller

Greetings
I've got an inground pool/spa, and need to replace the filter timer. Feedback appreciated on how to wire in the existing spa side controller with the new PE153; ie a wiring diagram if at all possible.

What kind of spa side controller do you have? Is it an Intermatic 133PE1484A Three-Button Wired Remote Control? Or something else?

Thanks; not sure of the type, its the original and ~20 yrs old. It is a 3 button.
