    Pool opening

    Just started pump
    1971 Gunite 31x16 IG Kidney shape pool approx 18000 Gallons
    EcoFinish Blue Lagoon
    Sta-rite System3 S7M120 Cartridge Filter
    A.O. Smith 3/4 HP motor, starite pump
    TF100 test kit

    That looks almost like a tar pit. You can fix it. Keep the pic's coming. Any questions you know where to come.

    Just curious, can you give us a history on the pool and how it got that way?

    Sure, we bought it as a short sale and I heard the pool had been unused for a couple of years. The tarp/cover was all ripped with lots of leaves and muck. The house in general needed a lot of work. But we have done a lot with still more to do

    The pool was built in 1971 don't know much other than that
