Hey folks, time to change out the sand in the filter again. But, have never been able to get my arms around $12/50lb filter sand. Is there a cheaper alternative, play sand, etc.? thx, SR
You can sometimes find it for half that much, or less, though it varies by region. Prices are generally lower in regions with lots of swimming pools.
As Smykowski mentioned, there is hardly ever any reason to change your sand. Normally sand is only changed when it has clumped up so badly that it can not be broken apart.
