New Pool Owner. Pool company put start up chemicals in pool before I had chance to

check them on my own. I have a FAS-DPD test kit. These were the numbers they ran.

TA 12

They added the chemicals with no cost to me

Now my levels I checked today

FC 4
TC 4
PH 7.6
CH 310
TA 180
CYA I have tried it several times I fill it all the way up and can still see the dot. I tried mixing it for a 2 minutes. maybe I am not doing it correct.

The pool is clear.

It is a 18x36 vinyl pool with SWG.

I now the TA is high now I don't know why they raised it so much!
What are you recommedations on this?

You should test your tap/fill water for TA and CH
they may not have added anything depending on the water quality in your area
I hope you are using a quality test kit taylor 2006 or TF100
you will need to add some CYA stabilizer
you also will need a little muriatic acid
other than that i think they have done a pretty good job
just re-read your post what are your salt levels?
also have a good read of pool school and all of the sub chapters

The numbers given to you by your PB look like pool store testing, and as such are highly suspect, especially the CYA.

Trust your own numbers.

Ask your PB how much CYA he added, and when. It can take a week or more for it to show up on a test.
