Advice on Robot cleaner for gunite pool

We finished having a new gunite pool installed last year and we are looking for advice on purchasing a robot cleaner. We use to have an above ground pool with an aquabot pool rover jr. We absolutely loved it and are partial to aquabot products. However I've seen a lot of negative reviews about units for inground pools. I'm mainly worried about breakdowns and high replacement part costs.

Our pool goes to a depth of about 9' with a fairly steep decent. Overall length is about 40'

I don't think there is any ONE cleaner that is head and shoulders above the rest. There is an article in Pool School that gives you an overall view of cleaners but no specific brands. It may help some.
