Where to buy CYA

Hi,

The CYA level in my pool is very low and I need to raise it to 40ppm. I did the pool calculator and it says 3.2 lb. The lowest I could find was Chem Tek 4lb in Lowes for $16. The liquid one seems very costly. If anyone has a preferred place to buy cyanuric acid/stabilizer, could you please suggest? Thanks

Where ever is the cheapest ... Walmart usually has the smaller quantities at good prices.
Liquid is not worth the extra cost.

Amazon usually has good prices, as does eBay.

That's about as low as you will find it. If you look really hard you might be able to save a buck or two at most. Get it at Lowe's.

ebay... I just bought some at Lowes, 4 lbs for $17.something. Then found 10 lbs on ebay for $30 with free shipping. Now I just fournd it for even cheaper on ebay... Going to take what I got at Lowes back next time I am over there.

I got 20 lbs for $40 on ebay from backyardpoolsuperstore a couple of weeks ago. Free shipping. Best price I could find. They have a web site too that charges the same price, but adds shipping cost.

I go wherever I can find HTH brand. They're all 100% CYA or close, but HTH has very fine granules, almost like beach sand. Dissolves much faster than the larger granule CYA I have purchased before that.
