Why is my filter pressure so high?

Update: I usually empty my pump strainer basket once a week even though there is never much inside of it. When I remove the lid all the water drains from my pump as expected. It also sounds like it is draining out of my filter as well. Once I close the lid and restart the pump my pressure is about 15 psi. However within a few days the pressure will be back up to 25 psi.

Anyone know why my pressure keeps going back up?

Something in your water, possibly. You can check by bringing your FC up to the appropriate SLAM level, and do an OCLT.

However, a week of filtering is going to raise your pressure some, as the filters catch the normal dust and gunk that gets blown/brought into the pool.

It's almost certainly either debris in the water or time for new cartridges.
