AutoPilot Replacement Cell

I searched the forum but didn't find any direct hits on this, so here goes...

I'm still a few seasons (hopefully) away from needing to replace my AutoPilot salt cell, but in just doing a Google search, I see wild price fluctations for OEM replacements when comparing buying direct from AquaCal vs a reseller like BackyardPoolStore or SaltPoolGuys. For a RC-42 replacement, AquaCal is charging $846 whereas the resellers are charging ~$350 for the same OEM cell. Is there any reason not to purchase OEM replacement cells from a reseller, short of having money just burning a hole in my pocket that I don't have any better use for?

I may be a bit biassed here :D

Now for the serious answer... When AutoPilot lists any items on their website they do so at full M.S.R.P. (i.e. "sticker price"). That is why you will see a large difference between what prices are shown on a website like ours vs. their pricing. We are a fully authorized dealer and only sell 100% brand new cells with manufacturer warranties included.
