Spa Check valve? Spa Reg?

Tried to upload pic, but I need bill gates to figure out.:p keeps saying my "quota" exceeds limit what ever that means, its a cell phone 65kb jpg lol.

So spa has 4 returns plus there is what looks like a return with a plug in it that you can pry open/close(the size of a quarter with gasket), more like a check valve, with system on, water flows out with system off water get sucked as I used dye to see. It then goes back to pool through a hole on wall(can I just plug this hole up and forget it?)- And our problem- spa drains to pool with system off.

Can you add more photos that give some frame of reference where this is in the pool / spa?
