    Beluga Solar Pool Heating Device?

    Anyone use something like this
1950's-era 17K gallon formerly fiberglass, newly replastered IG rectangle (~15x30'),
Hayward S244S Sand Filter with Franklin Electric 0.75 HP motor and WhisperFlo WFE-3 pump
    Clear ThermaTex bubble cover
    Manual vacuum

That won't heat the pool water very much. A garden hose doesn't have enough surface area to gain much heat, and several garden hoses connected together (to get more area) would provide too much flow resistance to work well. Also, your typical garden hose will break down fairly quickly from the chlorine.
