Polaris 480 laying on it's side

I have ready many posts about other Polaris models "falling over" and the solution is always to replace the head float. I keep finding my Polaris 480 on it's side, but it doesn't have a head float (that I can see). It has a fin in the place where most of the other floats are located. What would be the solution for this model? Thanks!

One simple thing to rule out before looking at anything else is to make sure your filter bag is empty. As the bag fills, the cleaner will become more top-heavy making it more susceptible to leaning over.

Next most likely cause is the hose floats - there are several of them. Make sure they are spaced evenly and that none of them have a leak which would cause them to be waterlogged. Also, the 480 apparently has a built-in head float. If none of the first two suggestions mentioned above fix the problem, you may need to disassemble the unit and see if anything looks awry.
