    DFW Texas

Hi. I found this forum through reddit. Seems like a great resource here. Just bought a house in Fort Worth, Tx with a pool and I have no idea what I'm doing. I've been picking up some stuff and most of it has come from this site so I'm very glad to be here!
    1) 28,274 gallons
    2) DE Filter
    3) IG
    4) Plaster/Marcite (This may be wrong.)
    5) Pump Size: Don't know.

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

This was me about three years ago. You've come to the right place. If you spend some time with the Pool School articles (start with these: ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry, Recommended Pool Chemicals, Chlorine CYA Chart, Basic Pool Care Schedule) and post questions on anything that isn't clear, you will find out that maintaining a pool is not a 3-headed monster.

A good test kit is an investment, not an expense.
