Automatic Feeder Chlorine 'Types'

I usually use bleach as my sanitizer, but when I'm going to be away for a day or two I put some chlorine sticks in my feeder. When I first had my pool put in the builder told me to use the sticks, now I find myself wondering what difference it makes, sticks, tabs...or whatever.

So what difference does it make?

The sticks and tabs are the same thing. I think I've read the sticks dissolve slower.
I don't have any experience with either of them as I'm a liquid chlorine user. ?

Sorry, I never got an email letting me know you had commented. Thanks. I'm a bleach user too. But if I'm out for a day or two I put in some sticks to keep chlorine in the pool. I'm just going to get some more sticks, they've work ok before.

You just need to keep tabs on the CYA level so it doesn't get out of range. ?

I couldn't agree more! Other than the cost, that's the biggest problem with the 'stabilized' chlorine products.
