Another newbie question - I have many!

So the PB set up the waterfall, bubblers and scuppers to run from noon to 5 pm and the cleaner for about two hours during that time. Is there an optimal time/time of day things should be running? Or does it matter? Seems like having the cleaner running during the prime swim time during the day is going to be a pain.

If you have variable electric rates based on time of day, the best time is when it's cheapest.

I set my pump to run in the late afternoon/early evening so things were circulating a while before I got home from work and could test the water right away.

Here's an article about determining the pump run time: http://www.troublefreepool.com/content/152-determine-pump-run-time. I used the methods within and was able to cut back the run time dramatically while maintaining water clarity.

Ok thanks guys, that helps. We would preferably like to run it early in the morning so it's clean and ready for swimming when the day warms up. Now to figure out how to change the settings!
