    Solar cover advice

New pool owner. The solar cover from the previous owners was tore up so we need to repace this summer. 24' round AG pool. Do we get blue or clear? How Many mil? What brand do you recommend?

13500 gallon AG (24' round), 100 sf cartridge filter, Hayward 1hp pump, pool 10-15 years old with recently replaced liner

I have a 12 mil clear cover. It is a bit cumbersome. I cut it in half to make it more manageable. Helped a lot. Here is where I got it from. They have good prices and free shipping.

I've only had it one season so it's still in good condition. People only get 2-3 years out of them so they generally get the cheaper ones. If that's all I get out if this one I'll probably get an 8 mil.
24'x54" AG Morada RTR (by wilbar) 13'500 gal. Hayward Powerflo Matrix 1hp 2 speed. Hayward Perflex EC65 DE filter.

I would suggest shopping around, ebay, amazon, etc sometimes there are deals to be found, I bought one last winter as an off season cover for my indoor pool for about $110 shipped I think it is 10 or maybe 12 mil.

Indoor 20x40 35,000 gallon vinyl pool with 1.5 HP 2 speed Jandy FloPro pump, Hayward EC75 Perflex DE filter, 11 4x12 Techno-Solis solar panels w/ Aquasolar controller, Aquabot Turbo T Robot Cleaner. Also LMI metering chlorine dispenser pump and HotSpring Jetsetter
I use and endorse TFtestKits TF-100 from
