Isn't color completely subjective?
Lighter will be cooler. But past that it's not really something that someone can suggest on given tastes differ rather strongly.

I agree with Mr. CC. It's all in what you like, but there are lots of liner choices now that mimic the colors of popular aggregate pool finishes these days. Lighter colors on the deck may be a little easier on the feet.
