Refinishing Gunnite? Paint? Patch?

Hello! So I have a gunnite pool and I'm thinking about painting over and patching some areas on the pool floor. Any suggestions on what I need to use? Is there a specific type of patch material and or paint?

I wouldn't use paint. It would be better to replaster.

Painting will still leave all the imperfections visible and is a very temporary solution (maybe around 2 years before you would have to do it again). Best to save and replaster.

Can you re-plaster patches or do you have to do the whole thing? Is it expensive and or easy?

I don't think a patch job would work or last as the older stuff could still chip away. Plastering a pool is best left for the professionals (unless you are one) and "expensive" is subjective.

I would guess a full basic replaster would be in the $5k ballpark (+/- $2k )
