Evaluate my equipment

Hi everyone,

Happy and excited to be a member of this forum. My wife and I are looking to finalize our pool this week, to be installed for this summer.

Currently, we are looking at either a 18 foot round AG, either a Doughboy or a Trevi. I am interested in a SWG, an Aquatrol. I've read that Doughboy will void the warranty with the use of a salt chlorinator. I'm also looking at the 2 speed Hayward Matrix 1 HP pump.

Basically, my pool equipment is as follows:
18 foot round AG (Probabably Trevi since they say salt safe)
1.0 HP 2 speed Hayward Matrix
Aquatrol SWG
19" sand filter

I appreciate any feedback you can offer on my equipment choices ! Thank you !

Looks pretty good to me.
The filter is plenty big (probably could get away with a 16" no problem, but no harm in bigger).
A good 2-speed pump (again, probably could even go with something smaller)

Of course if you ever decide to get a larger pool, the pump and filter would likely still be good.

I agree everything looks good to me. Good choice on the pump. It'll save you on electric. ?
