240v timer

I added some additional automation on the Intermatic 653 and had to move my stenner to an old mechanical timer (T104 I think). I'm looking at the digital option for 240v (my stenner is 240v) and contemplating the P7103ME. Anyone else have other suggestions?

Just ordered the P7103ME ... I'll report back on its use in a stenner world.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner.

Just be aware that the clock on the 7103 is 120 volts. You may already know that, but wanted to bring it up just in case.

I saw conflicting info on that and how it was wired (even on the intermatic site). Have you seen one in person? I'm curios if the clock is wired separately at 120 or if it makes use of one leg of the 240 input.

To get 120 you have to have a neutral, so while you can use one of the hot legs of the 240 volt circuit you need to run a neutral along with them.

Just had the opportunity to open the box with the P7103ME. As long as you have a neutral available at the box you are good to go. The timer is indeed 120, but the wiring is internal to the unit and a schematic is provided to wire it up in a 240V world. Pictures to follow.
