First chemical test does not look good

Its all out now. There is still some sawdust on the bottom that the polaris is currently working on. How long after adding bleach do I have to wait to get an accurate FC reading?

30 to 60 min's tops you can get an accurate FC reading after adding bleach. Make sure pump is running to mix after adding bleach for same amount of time.

With the low water temp your FC level will hold longer too.

Numbers look a lot better now. Still need to get the FC up a little more. I've put 2.3 gallons in already of 8.25% bleach. I think all the trees and sawdust has been eating it.

FC = 6.5
CC = 0
PH = 7.5
TA = 80
CH = 340
CYA = 50

Getting my supplies. 22 pounds of baking soda :-O

Casher at the grocery must have thought I was nuts.

That's a cute little future pool boy you got there :D

Had my wife check the FC this evening. It dropped from 7 to 5.5 in 24 hrs. At CYA of 50 pool math says 50 fl oz of 8.25% bleach to get back to 7 CL. I have my baseline.

I want to thank everyone again for their help. This site has been an invaluable source of info.
