    Freeze protection and spa

I have a new pool that is set up with freeze protection to kick on at 34 deg. When dp kicks in, it runs the variable speed pump at a slower speed than normal spa operation.
As you can probably guess, we like to use our spa when it is COLD outside. We end up sitting in the spa and the darn thing kicks into fp mode so the spa jets get cut way down until it cycles. This is quite frustrating but I don't want to turn the to speed pump settings up as they don't need to be that high to protect.
Any suggestions on how to get around this?

    Welcome to TFP!

I can't help you, but I know the people who can are going to need to know what kind of pump and control system you have.

Good thread! Same issue here; I'll be watching. It would help to let us know which operating system you have.

    Guess that would help!
It is a Jandy system - Zodiac variable speed pump with PDA.
