As much as I love winter, this little taste of spring the past 2 days (not to mention logging onto TFP) has really gotten me ready for spring. Hopefully tomorrow is the last day of cold.

This is what the yard looks like "as we speak". We previously had this much snow, then a partial thaw this past week end, then the new snow "dump" Wednesday left us with this. We've had a record 90" of snow since December. Winter 2013 almost no snow. Made up for it this year. ;o)
Disclaimer - the huge pile on the left is a sled hill. The rest of the yard is 3 feet deep.

We do love winter activities and skiing has been great! ... but ...

I am SO ready, esp. after seeing all those FL, TX, and CA pools.

Then we dropped back into the freezer last night. Brutal wind.

Last night the temperature dropped about 10 degrees in 15 minutes with the cold front. We went from spring to the dead of winter in 10 minutes.

We had a warm day today (warm := above freezing) so for the first time in months I have an ice-free path from the back door to the hot tub. The ice-free path is only about 6" wide at the moment but I'm planning to hog it out a bit more tomorrow.

Also need to run the snow-blower around to the far side of the hot tub so I can get the wood-burning heater going. Right now it's more of a cold tub (40F, down from 100F at the start of the week).
