The cover for the pump basket had gotten hazy and was impossible to see though. A quick trip to the pool store resulted in the wrong part, for $60. My DH cleaned the old cover with auto polishing compound -- and it worked. No replacement part required, visibility restored. Incorrect part returned for full refund. Yeah!
