cat 5000 controller

Greetings,

I'm trying to get information on what the acid bucket ratio should be for a 78,000 gallon pool using the cat 5000 controller and stenner pump with #5 feeder tube. Using muratic acid 30%. Should it be 5/1 , 10/1 or what? Nothing is said about the bucket setup in the manual.

Man that is a lot of Pool! I'm guessing it's commercial?

I hate to give you the wrong advice on this. I know lot's of these setups are diluted, but I don't know the typical ratio. I would think for a pool that large you wouldn't want too much dilution. I'm going to see if we can get you a better answer. Sorry I'm no more help.

Not knowing which pump model you have, that's either a 50 gpd or an 85 gpd. That's a lot of volume for an acid pump. Also, since I don't know what size holding tank you have, I would recommend cutting the acid 5:1 to start with and see how that works for you.
