We are considering different kinds of plaster for the pool. We are looking at Pebbletec in black onyx for a dark Zen looking pool. Any thoughts on this product - positives or negatives? Others people have used to achieve a dark look in the pool? I am new to the forum, building a pool, just after gunite stage. Our contractor left us high and dry so we are starting over now, looking at bids. It's terrible in that we are left without a contractor, but now we can sort of start over and reconsider every decision we made with the old contractor. (Trying to stay positive). Would appreciate any feedback.

In addition to the color, it's important to check the texture. Some pebble products can be a little too rough for some people.
I agree with James - we also looked at pebbletec but went with Wet Edge quartz because it was a smoother finish. We wanted a dark finish too and went with Barbados - we love it.
Keep in mind that dark pools can be very warm in later summer. Depending on how much shade your pool gets, it might be something to consider.
