I am working to get my very high TA level down along with the high PH level. Is it ok if we get in the water with the high levels? We are newbies!

Can you give us some numbers, in general correct pH range is far more important than TA, given enough time TA will tend to take care of itself and should rarely be a cause for concern on its own.

I have the tf100 test kit. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Leslie's had the ph at 8 and TA 350! So does anyone know what I need to do?

We would only trust the results from the TF 100.
Like Smykowski stated, PH is too high and FC too low.
Lower PH with muratic acid and raise your FC with liquid chlorine, bleach. Unless you are using a SWG.

TF 100 results: TA level is 340 and PH is 8.2. FC is 3.5, CYA is 80.

Don't worry about the high TA just yet. It's not a health hazard. People regularly bathe in water with higher TA than that with no ill effects.TexasFrost said:

Before you ask how much that is, read this: pool-school/pool_calculator Study that, plug some numbers in, and then post your findings here for grading before you start pouring stuff in. Take charge! Learn to do it yourself. The learning curve is a little steep, but once you do it and see the results, it will suddenly make sense.
It doesn't really matter which one you deal with first; just have the pump running and give the first chemical half an hour to mix well before adding the second. Half an hour after that, if the water's not too cold, you can get in.

Trust your own results from the TF100. Please read, and re-read the ABC's in pool school before you get bogged down in anything else there. Don't hesitate to ask any questions in the forum if you have them.
Adding this because you identified yourself as a newbie. Allow 30 minutes or so between the muriatic acid and bleach addition - they react to one another and can never be added at the same time (if this is news to you, read on TFP about their storage needs, as well).
