Hayward Heat Pump loses programming for external mode on pf

I've noticed that my Hayward HP21404T loses its programming for external mode after a power failure.

Is there an available cmos battery to backup the circuit board in the pump so it maintains its settings after a power failure ?
 
For anyone wondering, the electronic circuit board in the heater is supposed to remember its settings after a power failure.
There is no magic "save settings" menu option.
The answer in my case was a new board.
