Raypak p-r206a-en-x pool heater Troubleshooting

Hello, my friend has an indoor pool with a couple year old Raypak digital pool heater. The error message says pilot not detected, so we've replaced the pilot /sensor assembly, still same message pilot is lit and heater keeps trying to light it (clicking sound), is this the pc board malfunction? Anybody know (if it is) is there a couple points on the board to probe with a multimeter to confirm or diagnostic menu on the panel? Thanks gang

This is almost always a bad control board. The pilots very rarely ever go bad and if they do it's because they have gotten rusted.

Key thing to keep in mind, if the pilot lights, and it's still "clicking" its the board.

Nope just change the entire board. In fact you might find a critter dead on the board. Today I had a call that had a snake fried to the front side of the board.
