Pool pump keep tripping

I am unable to switch on the pump, I hear a hum for 10 seconds and it trips the breaker after it, worst thing is my pool guy wont be coming until next Thursday, oh no I don't want green pool.

Is there any steps I can do manually to prevent the algae and other issues? We had ice storm here in DFW metroplex few week back and it seems all the pool technicians are busy since.

Do you know anyone who is handy with electrical work?
It's most likely the capacitor, which is easy to change for someone handy.

Sounds like the pump is frozen up which is causing the breaker to trip. If you take motor off from the housing and try to manually spin the impeller. If it spins, then it should be the capacitor. If not then the bearings are frozen

Thanks everyone, as you all suggested it was a faulty capacitor, just a technician stopped by and replaced the capacitor , I wish I have seen this video, $75 experience
