We have just moved into an new home and we have inherited a swim spa with no user manual or instructions. We have worked out the pump and heater and filter for 3 hours per day. However, there seems to be another pump under the decking, which we can't get to. We are assuming that this pump operates the swim spa jets and is operated by the 4 buttons on the spa's edge. Our problem is that this pump turns on whenever it feels like it and when we try and turn it off with the buttons it doesn't work. Only after around 8 or 9 hours can we turn off with the buttons. In mild weather it doesn't go on at all but once the temperature reaches around 25 deg C it just turns on!! We are wondering if the buttons are faulty which would explain why we can't turn it off but not why it turns itself on automatically. It has gone a week without turning on, weather gets warmer and on it goes..... Hope someone can help me. :?

It sounds like it's set to come on when the water is heated.
Can you tell us the brand and model of the spa.
Is there any solar heating for the spa?
