Should SWG cell be removed in winter?

Should I remove the cell in the winter when the water temp. is too cold for the SWG to operate?

I think if you are closing the pool then you might as well bring it in. If you will run the pool all winter, I would just leave it out there.

I just turn my swg on and leave it there when the water temp hits 55F. However, being in Houston we run the pool circulation all year around

I bring mine in and carefully stuff plastic garbage bags in the open plumbing to prevent the ubiquitous mouse and/or chipmunk from using the openings as home for the winter!

Sorry, I meant to say turn it off when the water temperature hits 55F.
