New pool woes...

Added salt today so hopefully the SWG kicks in (fingers crossed please )
Todays test is as follows:
FC 3
CC 0.5
pH 8
TA 170

So I need to lower the TA.... Add acid to get to about 7.2 and aerate?

More importantly, you need to add the acid to get your pH down below 8.0. The result will also be a lower TA, too, but lowering your pH into the 7's and keeping it there is far more important that bringing down your TA.

There is an article in Pool School on lowering TA (after you control your pH).
